Stuart Short is a Fine Artist based in Teesdale. After studying Illustration and Graphic Design at Maidstone College of Art; Stuart progressed his career in the direction of Fine Art commissions. Commissions can range from beloved pets to prize winning livestock.
Each commission is generally completed within a couple of months depending on workload. The painting is presented to the client either framed or on canvas. Initially, Stuart pays a visit to the client to photograph the subject. He takes as many photographs necessary to capture the character and personality of the animal. Stuart then chooses, with the client, the best photograph to use as reference for the commission. Once the painting is complete merchandise and limited addition or open addition prints can be ordered.
If you are interested in a commission of a family pet, horse, working dog or livestock, please get in touch to discuss your requirements. Timescales for commissions can be adjusted in order to meet deadlines such as birthdays.
